Current Research

Students with the Center for Railway Research work on a project.Our research ranges from the study of the fatigue of rails and wheels to bridges and tunnels. It reaches from the study of retaining walls and thermal buckling. Regardless of where our researchers land on this spectrum, their motivations are the same—to improve railway safety and efficiency.
